Hi commanders, I'm new here and just wanted to ask for help. I can't find the links for WSM 3.05 and 3.1 Can anyone please give them to me? And please tell me which other MODS I have to install for to be able to play the new WSM.

Default S3D

can anyone tell me how i can work with S3D? i was trying for like two days to change the turrets on the Bismarck using S3D, i just wanted to this to see how the game works and i opened every .sim, .dat, .dsd, .cam file with S3D and also tried .equip file with a text editor. i was trying to put the 28cm tripe turrets of the Scharnhorst on Bismarck with no success, can anyone tell me what i should do? any link to a tutorial on this issue? once more i am not trying to make a new mod out of an already existing mod. just want to learn the game file structures. thanks any body.

Halo!

Nice to meet you all.

Ok, 2 days ago, i installed the warship 3.0 mod stock version of silent hunter 3 version 1.4b emea.

I had problems in the installation. I followed all the instructions that the manual has, step by step, and i didnt success with the implementation of the mod in the game.

Then, i think about "copy and paste" the files to the root folder. It installed without any problem.
Or at least, i was thinking that...

Armed with the Bismarck, i travelled over the seas, killing any ship i could have in range without any problem.
Then, boring of fighting small ships, i decided to generate a mission with a large fleet of warships. They were about 4 battleships and 10 destroyers. I wiped them out. Ouch, it was easy!

I tried again, but this time, i wanted to see how many time they spend to sink my ship, without firing my cannons.

1 minute...2 minutes.... 5 minutes.... 10 minutes (oh, am i still in the surface? )... 30 minutes (they painted my ship in black)....1 hour.... wtf???!!!! im in the surface alive!!!!???

Flack guns damaged, compresors destroyed, radio and radar destroyed, some men died... (they were in the flak guns), hitted by a million times but i was still alive. I could move my ship without any problem.
I ran onto the ships... i rushed destroyers like eggs colliding over them without problems and i hitted two battleships in the way (without sinking them).
Then, rushing a third battleship, when i hitted him, im destroyed by collision.
Finally... 1 hour and 15 minutes of battle.

One of two:

- Or im owning the new ultra super combat battleship, class "black pearl", forged by the goodness and manufacturated in Mordor...?

- Or the mod converted the enemy shells to paintball ammo? (and thats why my ship becomes black-painted...)

What´s your opinion? There is someone with the same "problem"? Someone knows how to fix the problem? Is it probably that when i play in multiplayer, i will become the new god of war in the sea and i will be banned forever ()?

What do you think?

Hi everybody!! first of all I want to thank Chinese U-47 for his time and his great work.

I've been playing the mod for two weeks (big fun!!), but i'm experiencing some problems (the biggest with the saved games) - I know there is too much work to be done, I apreciate the creator's dedication as well as te comunity common knowledge and willing to help.

For this i want to ask some questions about some issues whose response I couldn't find (or interpretate in the correct way) in the threads or dealing with the files myself...

I'm running WSM3.0 in Sh3GWX3.0 (actually GeII), my JSGME mods are installed in the following order:

GWX 16km atm.
GWX alternate loading screen
GWX capt. america's officer icons
GWX Main movie "Das Boot"
GWX Open hatch
GWX Litte harbour traffic
GWX Late war Sens., Snork.,Antenas
GWX Integrated orders
GWX No medals on crew
GWX VIIC'41 Player sub
GWX All weather guns
Real Deep Charge
GWX Alternative flotillas
WSM3.0
GeII

Ok,here are the questions:

1.- Am I missing something? I mean, Is my mod installation order adecuate? I also tried 'WB's mod for U-47s WSM (GWX 3.0)' but I didn't know how to apply this in the right way or the right order I supouse.. any recomendations?

2.- About SavedGames... Is there any solution at this point? I started a career with the Adm.Scheer in 1940 at Wilhelmshaven, after three patrols I decided to change base to Brest and the ship for the Prinz Eugen(by changing GeI for GeII while at base). The thing is that saved games worked fine before the changes. Now every time I load a game out in the sea it CDT,so... I know I'm not the only one with this problem but I hope someone there can make a useful reading of this short tale and throw some advices!(I'm tired of docking at neutral harbours or supply ships when I have to stop playing).

3.- Campaign: everything seems fine here since I know how to change the tipical patrol grid AM52 to something more realistic and exotic but I want to know if there is any kind of specific campaign for surface riders or any hint on how to make it more 'dangerous' (like the increase of the number and strenght of enemy taskforces and making them search for you like mad once they know you are operating in a given area)

4.-Optics: I've noticed that almost all of the flakgunner Point of View is way ahead of the crosshairs, is that for any reason?
Also the periscopes can't be used, I'm thinking it was done like that because of the 3d model but it would be great to have a rangefinding device.
If anyone can tell me if it is possible to have them back working propertly and how to add a compass to the MainGun sight optics I would be thankful!!!

Press U and you get the UZO sight, at least it works for me.

well i'm such a a Nub... I was using Uzo but I didn't know you can have this function there... my bad,sorry. That's because I had never used it and I was encouraged by this mod and the long range battle chances it offers,thank you!

Great Mod, but is there a way to make enemy battleships & cruisers hunting you like destroyers actually do?

For example if I run across a taskforce I'm only getting actively attacked by it's escorts (destroyers). Although the bigger battleships & cruisers start firing at my position they keep cruising at same speed and course. So it's rather easy to stay away from them which is rather boring as the bigger enemy ships are the only real thread...

Would be interesting to know how to make them as aggressive as destroyers or corvettes...

...it depends on the attacking escorts equipment, if you combine the WSM with U-47`s Wolf Ocean mod, some of the attacking DD´s (and some planes) use torpedos against you (realy dangerous threats then).

Default good instruction

Hello,

I'm new here
I've read this Forum for a long time. And a half year ago I'd kept this game running, but than I'd have to delete it and now I don't get it to run this mod.
I'd study this forum a long time but in the end i didn't find good instructions.
Maybe sbdy can help me or sbdy could post a good instruction for WSM 3.0-3.05 and for JPN Mod.

sry for my english I'm german and it's a little bit rusty

I would also like to see proper instructions on how to use Wolf Ocean Mod 3.3 with the WSM 3.01 and 3.05. The instructions are in a funny coding that I cant read. Any help would be appreciated!!

the problem is that the man who makes a mods is Chinaman, creating mods in Chinese and then someone takes them for translation, translating unless using google translator
therefore are not to understand by five sixths of the population of the earth ...

My girlfriend can speak chinese maybe she can help to translate the instructions

But it would help also when sbdy write the instructions for WSM 3.0 and GWX

I'm sorry but how can you not understand GWX - WSH I understand that you can not understand - I was able to run ONCE Nagato and I must had to reinstall the entire SH III
I do not understand Chinese U43 - he writes of mods for the whole world (as far as it may be legal or illegal copies of SH III - the number may be a multi-million) and thinks that everyone will wonder what was written in chinese?
He writes to us in english, even better than me, but the mod does in chinese - I do not understand this - indeed hardly anyone understands Chinamens, but they themselves
I tried various ways to translate into my mother langue, but came out such nonsense, that I abandoned the idea
for GWX - I play the Gold Edition with no problems - now, after reinstalling the whole system and started playing again on my graphic changes and I have not any trouble, the game has become more stable, and I play on virtual MS on the Linux

Default IJN

Please help! first thing is I have IJN Japenese ships working but the main guns don't fire. What do i need to do?

Also I have downloaded all the WO 3.3 mods from B1 to B6-7 but excatally how do I install them? I have put them all into my mods folder and used JSGME to put them into the game but it keeps crashing, what am I doing wrong? needs an idiots guide guys.
