Perfectly reasonable question Steve. I am a huge fan since I was a young kid back in Athens. Whenever I have the time I do play with my mates, or read RPG/Fantasy books. Over here in the UK I haven't found so many people familiar with the Elric Saga. If I'm not mistaken Moorcock's books are better known to North America than Europe. Nevertheless Elric Rules, although GWX is not far behind :p

Haven't seen or read any of Moorcock's books for a while but probably be able to pick them up on E-Bay [or Amazon].

The good folks on the Torsk finally caught me on camera. I spend a majority of the time on the go and make it difficult for the historian to get a image!!! At any rate, I was caught repainting the forward engines (Lighting and Thunder) the proper color. For some stupid reason the engines were painted razzle dazzle blue. I guess that color was on sale that day. A face only a mother could love and even she is having a problem doing that

Anyway, the thing I'm touching up is a air intake. One of two to feed air to one engine. I suspect my scrawny butt could get sucked up in there when the engine is at full throttle

Rediscovered this place after working for 4 months with some Aircrewman from RNAS Culdrose. They were on the Merlin Mk1 pinging and joined our squadron to see how the big boys live.

Newly registered user, but I've been a long time lurker of the site (isn't that what submariners are best at?). I found SubSim back when I was playing SH2, and I think it's an awesome resource for folks with our interests. I am a career military man, so that keeps me extremely busy, so I'll be around when I can be. Thanks for keeping this great site around!

My name is Alvaro Radigales and I'm from Madrid, Spain.

My passion for military history lead me to get a degree in Modern History (so I probably won't be getting rich anytime soon!). I discovered submarine simulations thanks to Silent Hunter II while hunting for bargain bin titles. I loved it so much I did all I could to obtain every other submarine simulation out there and play it till my hands fell off.

Fortunately, I had glued my hands back in place by the time Silent Hunter III was released in Spain (yup, I preordered it!). I tried my luck at manual TDC, failed miserably, googled for tutorials and ended up here. Now I'm glad I sucked so badly at it!

My passion for submarine warfare grew rather quickly, and I ended up making it the subject of my research, in which I am now engaged.

As my research slowly creeps forward (rigged for silent running of course) I make some cash to pay bills and vices as an English and History teacher.

Here's a (fairly old) shot of my ugly mug that I use as an avatar in most forums and IM services.
