I don't see what's so bad about that. It's no worse than 99% of the mindless pop/crap that's out there, and always has been. Most kids would rather listen to fluff than serious music, and always will. She's got fifty-five million views, which says something. On the other hand the video has ten times as many dislikes as likes, which also says something.

I on the other hand participated in a cool acoustic gig last night. No videos this time, but there was a group consisting of a man and two women. Together they were great, but one of the women could really sing. Also there were some top local blues musicians who did a great jame. It was well worth the time spent.

I'm so jealous. I used to belong to a local Meetup group for music lovers, we would get together about once a month and just hang out and play and sing stuff.

Well, I say I used to belong, technically I think I'm still registered as a member. I just don't go to the meetups any more because unfortunately I just couldn't deal with the person who ran the thing and apparently neither could anybody else who made attending worthwhile for me personally. Really a bummer because when we did manage to get some talented musicians involved it was a lot of fun.

Sorry to hear that. Singing with friends is always fun. Unfortunately we're at the stage where it's a lot of hard work. Still fun though.

This was similar to the one I posted on last time, and we had a great time and were appreciated. The weird thing is I went to YouTube to find a video of these guys. I found several, but they were all so bad I was too embarrassed to link them. Too bad, because they were very impressive last night.
