Great YouTube video and the music fits absolutely PERFECTLY!!! My hat's off to whoever selected it. My wife likes the music so much I had to download it from Rhapsody and burn it to CDROM for her.

Okay....I have suggestions for Grey Wolves 3.1 Platinum (hehe).
#1. I would like to see a mod that allows the selection of ANY U-Boat for ANY year with ANY upgrade available for that boat. A lot of us are playing "hypothetical scenarios" and this would really make for some great gameplay.

#2 How about a mod for U-boats that weren't produced in large numbers or those that were planned but never produced? I have a book called "U-Boats: The Illustrated History of the Raiders of the Deep" by David Miller that has all kinds of info on U-Boats that were built in very small numbers or not at all. I'm sure many SH3 users have the book. The info in it is priceless, along with some great pics. There are 3 pages of proposed U-Boats that were never built. And yes, there is even a special missile project for both the V1 and V2 missiles to be launched via subs (Project Ursel). There was also a missile project that was tested and SUCCEEDED in launching 6 30cm rockets from underwater for use againt escorts!!!

As far as I'm concerned, GWX has exteneded SH3 to the point where I am not in the least bit interested in SH5. I doubt SH5 can come close to what we have now. And we still have a LOT available for the future.

That one is fairly easy. Open your basic.cfg and change all of your 'Year#=' to 1939. Everything is now available from 1939. You may also need to change the month to =8 but without testing I'm not sure.

Yeah, thanks very much Jimbuna found it. The uboat movie is one of the best I've seen but I also found a full version of the music only, pretty good. I see this guy has done other stuff, think I'll get the CD

There are a couple of modders working on this - jimbuna has a working Type XXIII and there is someone working on a VIIA. We're only limited by the number of player ships that are available. When making a new u-boat you have to use a slot that used to belong to another u-boat (e.g. jimbuna's XXIII overwrites the XXI).

Hmmm...I'm hesistant to mess with stuff that might interfere with GWX. I'll do it for one sub and see what happens. Thanks for that tip!

I would gladly lose the Type II boat for a Type XXIII.

Nope....didn't work. May work okay if you don't have the Grey Wolves mod installed though. I think a mod made to work with Grey Wolves, like the Type XX1 mod, needs to be written to make it work.

I am sure this question as been asked before, but with over 100 pages of threads, where do I start looking to find an answer. So please bear with me, I have GWX3 Gold installed over a fresh install of SH3, interiors are to die for, it is when I go to the bridge that my problem begins. When I first arrive everything's fine, but the minute I click on the Watch Officer the camera jumps up to at least 3-4 meters above the conning tower and is pointed downwards. I can force the camera to the right height again, but each time I click on the WO the camera flies up again.

Hi all, pardon me if this is a dumb question but I've looked around and can't seem to find an answer....I've d'led SH3 on steam (with no other mods) and the installation of Grey Wolves says that modded files were found so I can't continue the installation..........I un and re-installed to see if this would fix it and it still says I have mods detected.

Is there a problem with Steam and Grey Wolves, or am I doing something stupid (I"ll wager on this!) Thanks,

I wrote the XXI mod with evan82, JScones and a few others. You'll need to change every Year#= to 1939 for it to work and I'll see if there's some changes that need to be made to flotilla.cfg and some others using Type XXI mod as a handrail. I've got a major project on at the moment but will look into your idea once I've released it.

Excellent! That did the trick!!! Thank you sir!
Now what I need is to be able to select any boat without paying the renown cost as in the Type XX1 mod, and to have all U-Boat upgrades available in 1939. I can sure wait until you are done with your current project for that, though. Can't thank you enough for this. Am really looking forward to taking some of these modern boats out earlier in the war.

Hi guys.

I have tryed to find answere but could not find here on forums.

I'm atm on my 8th patrol in 12/02/1940 and i'm resiving messages frpm BDU about aproching "ARK ROYAL" and some other capital ship the day after.

Is this imersion messages or you could actualy intercept this ships?

Most of the GWX messages are historicaly correct but are not corellated with actual ship movements. In other words don't spend too much time looking for ships based on messages.
