I believe he meant he wanted Eich to paint him one. Otherwise this is just another photo thread.

No mate, I meant a painting of the beast, I've got one landing tomorrow for the diecast collection and an accompanying painting would be nice.

Something along these lines would be nice.

No worries. Don't want to derail the thread but whilst we're on the subject I've got the Operation Black Buck variant on pre-order, due either next month or the month after I believe.

I'd not heard of Michael Rondot before, but that Vulcan is impressive. And I'm guessing that the next painting is by Michael Turner... his style is usually easy to spot.

Default Trying something different...

This isn't finished; I think maybe it needs a track leading off into the picture. Maybe also a small bush to the right with some yellow leaves remaining. There's also still some work to do on the Fly Agaric fungi... they're too strong in colour, too red.

Now finished... quite extensively reworked

Default (Oh, no... not another Spitfire!)

I'm planning a small, simple 8 X 8" square painting of Johnny Johnson's MkIX Spitfire, using this my old FROG model as a basis for the drawing. I've always thought that of all the smaller kits, this one caught the shape and power of the MkIX best.

No fireworks, just a portrait. Half the battle is getting plenty of interesting light/highlight on the model when photographing it.

Magnificent work!

Suddenly, I'm filled with a desire to go fall mushroom hunting.
