Damn, I cant log in

It shows the server as running but it gives me an error when I try to go in

Never mind, the problem was temporary or the launcher needed updating

That magma crucible is useless.

It's too slow to even power the magmatic engines powering it.

So Dire announced yesterday that the 1.6 FTB Dire Pack will be coming "soon". Anybody fancy a server reset and upgrade once it comes out?

Maybe wait a week or two to let them iron out any block ID issues?

Sounds like a plan, I'd suggest that Ordinance Survey map of Britain but it could be a tad large.

What's the new pack contain?

Still no update from Dire as to what will be in the 1.6 pack. But I do find it amusing that just as all the mod authors get their mods update for 1.6, 1.7 comes out...

I suggest using Unleashed pack.
Enable the Biomes o'plenty because they're cool.

Unleashed has stuff like advanced solar panels, dartcraft, gravi suite, apm...
If you decide to use Unleashed pack, enable all mods but

Death timer(annoying, i've lost some good stuff because it left the chunk loaded)
Vending(up to you, but i've heard it's bugged. Could be cool for trading though(
Nether ores(bugged i think + noone really needs those + they're potentially explosive and Pigmen don't like you mining them)

Not sure if you've already made changes to mystcraft config, but it's probably good to disable cave worlds, meteorites and any other bad effects that cause massive lag.

EDIT: it also doesn't have Gregtech.

See you online if you decide for Unleashed

Aaah, right. As far as I'm aware the server is fairly deserted, TF might be on it and Keab might be, but I haven't MC'd in a while, kind of ran out of things to do and moved on to other games, Kerbal Space Program mainly at the moment.
In regards to packs, again, nothing has happened as far as I'm aware. I haven't been up to date with what's been happening in the Minecraft world so I don't know what's been released and what it is.

Think I'll keep the server on holiday for a bit. It was having a continuous nervous breakdown I think; one of the dimensions was constantly sucking out all the performance.

By no means killing it off, just need to figure out what to do, see how the mods develop, maybe run it latest version unmodded for a bit.

Works for me, Cant really mess with Minecraft now as I am busy with collage, but I might mess with it during the holiday break.
