Hi where are the GWX install instructions?
I downloaded all 6 parts but the install config does not reconise the downloaded files.

You can view the online manual here: http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/GWX/GWX_MANUAL_EN.pdf

If you are installing GWX to anything but a fresh/clean installation of SH3 patched to version 1.4b... the installation will not complete by design.

Dont forget to rollback SH3commander if you have it already before install and check the files first using the MD5 checker

Hi, read the instructions, but they still dont say how to install it, I have already installed a fresh game and installed the patch. For the GWX mod I downloaded all 6 parts - GWX 1-6 and the X6 file. 1 to 6 are bin files and the X6 is an exe. All these files are in my downloads folder, I opened the x6 exe and followed the install instructions till I got an error saying "setup needs the next disk- Please insert disk 1 and click ok- If the file on this disk can be found in a folder other than the one displayed below, enter the correct path or click browse."

I set the browse to my downloades folder but get an error saying " The "file X6-1.bin" could not be located in "C:\downloads". please insert the correct disk or select another folder".

I can only see the 6 downloadable files on the downloads page.
Where can I find the X6-1. bin file? NOTE I already have the X6.exe file.

Ummm there are 5 bin files and the exe
6 files in total

Where did you D\L from
All the bins and the exe need to be in the same folder too

oops sorry 1 to 5 plus exe , downloaded from http://www.users.on.net/~jscones/GWX/
and yes all files are in the same folder

Hmm ok just make sure all bin files are named thus - GWX-2.bin not GWX_2.bin

all files are correctly "spelt"


UPDATE:- I deleted the EXE and downloaded it some where else and it appieres to be installing. The first one on the list is cruppted and doesnt work, I tried a file futher down the list and is working. Thanks any way

Hi bud, do you mean the U-boat emblem? If thats the case when you start a campaign goto to emblems and attack one by double clicking on the one you want then click yes. However this only works on campaign,If you want your emblem to show up in MP you need to load up a campaign, choose your emblem, load up then quit, the join a MP game your emblem will then show up.

@ Pants...................No i do not mean the side emblem for your U-Boat........I mean the Kriegsmarine ensign or flag., which you can see flying on the Destroyers etc.........After all there is a sort of flagpole on your U-Boat ( rear of con tower )
for displaying it.Cheers mate.

Anvart did play with the idea but dont think it was ever taken further
So its not currently a possibility
