Au contraire, that was a master class in messaging by a first class communicator, bypassing the biased, partisan media and taking his message directly to voters, laying out the themes he will hammer during the 2018 and 2020 election cycle.

The reaction of Trump-haters is entirely predictable, but the message is not aimed at them since they are irrelevant to the process. It is aimed at his base and more importantly at moderate, independent voters.

But I still think Trump is hiding something about Russia and Putin due to his non comment to talk trash talk about them. Sort of like when President Obama would never call Muslim's Muslim terrorist

Wow, that's the second positive story I've seen from the fake news folks regarding Trump within the week. The other one was so good I went back to yahoo to copy it, but the "Fox and Friends" stuff had since developed and I think they pulled the link. Actually the first story wasn't so much positive about Trump as it was negative about Hillary regarding investigation and prosecution.

I think Obama did that because he knew what leading a country meant. Sure, it would have been completely accurate to call it "Muslim Terrorism." But I think he knew that would only fan the flames of hatred against Muslims in our own country, the vast vast majority of whom are law abiding and loyal citizens. As President he has to set an example for our nation. He probably felt using such inflamed rhetoric would only lead to discrimination or even violence against Muslim Americans
