Alien. Last thing I heard about it was that after some sales and deals that saw Disney ending up to own the Alien franchise, the third part of Ridley Scott'S new Alien triology was uncertain to ever be made. That news was long ago.

It seems that things have changed and Warner now holds the rights - or was Warner bought by Disney? Whatever, apparently the project is under way.

I am not excited, because I already did not like the first two new Alien movies. They were completely unneeded, imho, but two more repetitions of the plot of the very first Alien movie. Prometheus I would even describe as a pure remake only.

I googled on The Forever War again. Latest news I found dates back to 2016, that Channing Tatum would star...

Since then - nothing. Scott once said (15 years ago already) the film would be a long-craved matter of his heart, and he fought a decade long quest to secure the rights for him. Since he got them, anything goes in extreme slow motion - or even is in freeze. Strange. I dont get it. I know that I am more burning for things I describe as a "matter of my heart".

Yep, hollywood has to have its typical white male hero, not enough emphasis was given to the importance of those Navajos as usual.

Something else you don't hear about much either are the dogs trained as Devil Dogs for the Pacific Theater. Over Twenty of them were killed in action, most of them during the fighting in Guam. It would make a good film me thinks, as long as they kick the white male hero in the balls and let the dogs be the stars for a bloody change.
