Damn i miss that mod !
Hi Blue-Casket and greetings to Belgium.
Okay... lets get started.

Did you completely un-install your old copy of SH3+GWX 2.1 using the game disk? (...and did you also delete any residual program/mod files by hand?)

What I think, is that maybe you have some residual files remaining from your old installation that may be causing the problem.

(Also, it would help to know if you are running Windows XP or Windows Vista... Windows XP is much more user-friendly for SH3... Window's Vista will require some special instructions for you.)

Also of note, you should be able to use the Schnell-Boot mod with GWX 3.0. I have had an SH3+GWX 3.0+Schnell-Boot installation until very recently... and I did play it a couple of times...

However, one thing at a time.

First, completely take down your SH3 installation with your SH3 game disk and delete all remaining files by hand. Then re-boot your PC before re-installing everything. Let's try to get you going with a totally fresh installation of SH3 first.

Now, I know you said you weren't patient enough to read 100+ pages of info... and that is fine... but you'll need to have a little patience getting set up now, alright?

More than likely a small mistake was made somewhere along the way. It happens.

Weird my computer got broken a month ago (videocart was getting too hot and think gave up on me)

I only installed SH3 two weeks ago and then installed gwx 3.0 so i don't think there is anything with gwx 2.1 or mods at all
I use windows xp
MAYBE this. I had the time to put important stuff on a harddisk the fault is there and that the gwx3.0 file on it was a bit together with gwx 2.1 who knows. Because it had it in the past too.
otherwise there can't be realy anything because everything on the harddisk is still fresh and placed nicely now....

I will check my pc

Permit me to assist....I am presuming your OS is XP

Open 'Add or Remove Programs' in your control panel, and remove 'Silent Hunter III'
Alternatively, you can use the un-install option on the SH3 DVD (on the menu that appears after you insert the disc). My preferred choice.

Make sure the un-install process has removed the following folders:
The 'SilentHunterIII' folder in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft
The 'SH3' folder in 'My Documents'
If not, delete these folders. IMPORTANT - deleting the 'SH3' folder in 'My Documents' will delete your existing career files. However, an existing career will not work properly with GWX3 GOLD anyway.

Perform a registry clean.

Reinstall Silent Hunter 3.

Apply the latest patch (1.4b).

If you need guidance on which version of the 1.4b patch to use, please read these notes.
Download the GWX files (1 exe plus 7 bin) http://www.filefront.com/user/JimbunaGWX2/to your desktop (or wherever you wish to store them).

You must ensure all 8 installation files are placed in the same folder.Run 'GWX.exe' and follow the installation instructions.

I just find it odd.

I installed SH3 maybe two weeks ago from my dvd and it is with the patch included. Then i install the gwx3.0
But i think from the previous time there is something like a mod
or anything in it.
I guess i'll need to delete it all then
So as everyone says.
Oh well that's too bad actually.

The vitally important starting point for GWX3.0 is that it should only be installed onto a fresh installation of SH3 patched to 1.4b

So without any save games and all? Just install SH3
and immediately GWX 3.0?

I will try it tomorrow to redo everything

I simply asked for a picture to enable me to understand better what your concerns are.

Would you say the horizon in your installation is similar to those below?

Well in regular foggy wheather the horizon looks like the first picture.
But when the sun is comming up or going down and the sky looks orange then i get a blue horizon and above it the orange.

And i've seen the sun go down and up in thesame day and.
The orange is real but the blue isn't .

Can't you see the picture in my link then?

My apologies for my maybe wrong said comment in the last post my previous one got away and i just said that because i had typed quiet a bit in it and didn't want to retype all .
