I imagine the sting ray is dead to. When an animal attacks a human it is time to put it down. This is the way of dogs, cats, snakes, etc.

The sting ray most likely mounted on someones wall by now.

I´m pretty sure it fled the scene. The crew had hands full on saving Steve´s life.

I sad to hear of his passing and for the loss his family has suffered. I'm not suprised that he died by some type of animal attack. He seemed to love putting himself in harm's way.

He most likely was teaseing the ray, or might have troden on it by accident. Either way a sad way to go.

There was that tiger guy from the Ringling Brothers Circus that got mauled up by one of his tigers a few years back. He lived somehow! Guess when you play with fire enough you are bound to get burned sooner or later. What a shame! This has really upset my wife since she loved his show so much. It burns me up that the 'good ones' always have to die so young. Ever notice that? Perhaps God took them from us because they were just too good a soul to be here any longer. I feel for his family and wish them all the warmest condolences. RIP Steve! You will not be forgotten nor will your love of animals. There truely is a great place in heaven for you!

What a shock. Me and my kid just watched the Wiggles with the Crocodile Hunter this morning. He gave alot to the world with his love of animals, and his devotion to share it with so many people. God rest his soul.

Just to give you an example of what even a small stingray can do, view the clip . Nothing but a flesh wound but you can imagine how lethal a full sized ray could be.
