I was wondering, do you plan on doing a IXD2 skin? As far as I know, none have been done yet for that boat.

I wonder why GUNS_SUB.dat and Sensors.dat files have been included? Surely these are data files (GUNS_SUB.dat controls various capabilities of guns while sensors.dat controls sonar and radar capabilities). What do they have to do with skins?

Guns_Sub.dat contains skins I think - check it out with SH3 Unpacker or something.

Sensors.dat is probably just an error.

I just checked. They both have graphics files in them. That's a bit of a bugger.

I checked the GUNS_SUB DAT and it only appears to have the Uflack_High TGA changed. It also looks like the one for the type VII skin. The one for the type VII was never placed in the DAT - you just had to put it in the texture folder. I'm guessing you could leave the GUNS_SUB alone if you have fubar's type VII skin.

That leads me to another question. I think the Sensor DAT is used by another skin I have (I don't remember exactly). Also, it looks like the only TGA changed in the Sensor DAT is the mask_type9.tga. Can I extract the mask_type9.tga file and place it in the Texture folder? Will it show up?

One can omit the GUNS_SUB.dat and the sensors.dat files from this skin pack. (If like myself, said files are customized from RUB or other data mod.) As stated it only contains the deck and flak gun textures, which can be obtained if the user has FUBAR's VII skin.
Or if one wishes, the textures contained inside the sensors.dat, and the GUNS_SUB.dat files, can be extracted and placed into the textures folder, and work like any other custom texture.

Personaly i use FUBARs' Type VII (and now Type IX) skins with Pascals VII/IX decking.

Cool Hackett, so do I.

Stupendously awesome work Fubar! I can't wait for your Type II skins!

Three thumbs up!

Maybe I'll do that, as it would be a shame to lose these textures.

Aye.

Its a shame that the IXD2 texture hasn't been done - I just looked at it and the reason is that the uvmapping is quite different to the other type ix's, so its basically a new job.

I could probably hack up a crappy version for IuB if necessary, though.

Also, I think if you already have sergbutos reflections fix, putting the relevant textures from their .dat's into /textures/tnormal/tex works just the same.

That stinks. Well, I hope you are able to do something for the IXD2. I know it will be better than anything I could ever hope to accomplish. I wish the type IXs would use different conning towers. The IXD2 looks odd with the camo version conning tower with the rusty hull. So does the IXB plain version.

Fubar..

You may want to repackage these 3 files in your skins.

Turm9c_1_hd.dat
Turm9c_2_hd.dat
Turm9c_3_hd.dat

The reflection files you used are the old ones and the IX's towers do not show in the reflection on the water.

There are new files on sergbutos site that correct this.I repacked them into the new files and the reflections worked.

I was wondering, do you think you could do a type VII Meditteranean camo scheme? That would just look stellar.

Am I the only one to have the old deck texture on the Schnorchel part of the deck ? I'm playing before the Schnorchel was adopted.
