Because:

Was the whole "not using it as a lesson" not clear? I wasn't saying that it's ok to use U-571 to teach, I was saying that just because someone heard that some kids "watched U-571 in a history class" doesnt mean that teachers are using it to instruct their students.

It is the word 'probably' that is important. You made one assumption, I chose to make another. Maybe as a university history lecturer I am a little more cynical about modern teaching methods in school (I judge it from the standard of students I receive from that system...).
