My lack of interest in SF atm can be summed as: SF is more about a destination where as earlier Bethesda games were about the journey to a destination.

The lack of free travel in SF is a huge immersion breaker for me.
It is. No vehicles on planets and no gliders either. NO MAPS.

That is hilarious! I jumpoed into No Man's Sky for the firts tiem since - well, since a very long time. Could be two years, if not longer. I know they worked on the game, and that many upgrades were released. But holy moly, I almpost did not recognize it again! Mind you, I play it in VR. Many changes, and finally enemy fighters that really give me a fight for my money - I just dogfought for twenty minutes one single machine, and while I got him, he almost shot me into pieces first. The old savegame sitll worksd, despite the massive upgrades.

I think I will log some more time into this again in coming nights, but must learn some new things and relearn some old things. It seems my fleet can be structured in different ways, and pilots can be assigned - fighter pilots? I could have needed help out there today.

What did Bethesda think to design Starfield without the option to manually fly and drive...? I dont get it. But NMS triumphantly shows that that decision was a very big mistake. It really seems to have matured with dignity.

And then, its VR... I raced my fighter through my 30 capitals ship fleet while dogfighting - in VR... I rest my case.

I have every confidence that Bethesda will screw the pooch on the release of, "The Elder Scrolls VI" as well, if it ever comes to fruition and gets released. That will stink on ice. I like Skyrim.

More and more I find myself playing Indie games. The name-brand studios have all lost the thread.

I refuse to pay Bethesda to beta test their software.

If it's a Bethesda game, I will wait at least a year

TES-VI has started in development with the completion of the development of Starfield. The latter had absolutel priority for them. They plannend that and announced that years ago, and confirmed recently that it is like that, still.

Well The Frau wanted it for her birthday so I bought it for her.

She has a pretty high powered gaming PC and it struggles. She had to turn most of the graphics down to medium and it still stuttered a bit.

The graphics do look impressive but you better have a very powerful new system to be able to handle the graphics at the higher levels.

And the tutorial is up to Bethesda's usual standards.
