Very interesting....

I like the complexity of underwater warfare. But how do you learn this?
My problem with the vast majority of simulators is that the "academies" "youtubes" etc. made by people who know it all very well, while a novice still knows nothing. Too often they assume foreknowledge ... They more often show how well they know than they attempt to teach a nitwit something. .. eg an incident that vexed me wildly: On Youtube: We sail from Kiel to Kristiansand. Here rises a problem for a novice: How the hell do I get my boat in Kiel ??

Often the type of English is downright bad. Mostly for a non-Englishman, way, way too fast ...

To my taste, there should be "in game" lessons, in a calm manner, in plain English, clear sound, without abbreviations, with a clearly visible pointer, constantly targeting the target audience, the pointer not constantly flying across the screen etc. etc.

First with the help of a teacher, where you can easily take steps back ("what did he mean exactly?"),not only with an explanation WHAT you have to do but also WHY you have to do something, then the same exercise without a teacher. Because submarine warfare is so complex, you should actually have an education expert check the lessons.

In this way you will grow even more enthusiasts of this kind of simulators ...

The Devs are active on STEAM. Looks like a early-mid 2021 launch if I read it correctly.

Just announced. - Great news... Killerfish games new wwii naval stategy game inspired by classics like Task Force 1942 & the Great Naval Battles series “War on the Sea” is launching in Feb 2021.

A new trailer has also been released ....

The only problem with those games is that never have multiplayer

Cold Waters and all other would be amazing in MP

It would be nice to have that as an option for those who enjoy MP. I would not buy any game that is only MP

The problem, as I see it, is that consoles do not provide the "resources" needed to really run these simulations?

The xbox one x and new series x capable of 4k gaming many Pc games have been ported successfully to them including huge triple A titles like Red Dead Redemption at 100+GB so the computing power is not an issue, mainly just the controls. Wired keyboards and mice can be connected to the xbox one x but its down to the game developer to include support in tne game for them, problem is very few users add keyboard & mice to their console.

On the tablet front if you dont have a gaming Pc its now possible to rent an online streaming gaming server that you pay for monthly at around $15 and play steam games direct to your Ios and android device from tne cloud.
