Personally, I'm not overly concerned about the state of the kitchen. Out of sight, out of mind. The way I see it, while in the service, I've eaten at some dives in Korea and Central America that would never pass ANY health sanitation standard in the continental united states. I do have a brother in law that works in the resturant industry. He's a bit of a resturant snob. I suppose its because he's aware of industry standards where as i could care less. The only time I'll turn my nose at a joint is if i have already eaten there and gotten the runs a couple times. Two strikes and your out! (Yeah I'm talking about you Sizzler in Provo! )

Yeah I don't care much about what's in the kitchen if the food is good.

I've not eaten in Korea or Central America....yet....so I don't know how it compares to places here. Course, there are good and bad places wherever you go.

5 guys makes a good burger. My wife has a few in her family that worked at Burger King when they were teenagers. All said the kitchen and entire restaurant was super clean. There are certain buffet places to stay away from because of how they keep the food out. There was a terrible BBQ place in North Carolina that looked like they hadn't made fresh food in days....and there's a procedure for the bathroom

Depending on what has to happen here, you can either finish and leave or continue with the process.

1. Check out the toilet seat
2. Wipe with toilet paper
3. Check again and wipe again if needed
4. If available, use paper seat cover
5. Check again
6. Decide what's going to happen. Yay or Nay

Pre-Wipe is kind of a rule of thumb for a public bathroom.

Anyway, I think it looks better.

It's like how I split up my paragraphs into a couple sentences at a time. It makes it easier to read and it's not a wall of text.

Just like this. Break it up a bit. I choose not to indent because most other posts aren't. But, to each their own.

I can read the words and I would assume everybody else can too so I don't see anything wrong with it.

When I was riding on the inner city squads, many of our daytime calls were to restaurants. Eventually, we all had a list of restaurants we refused to patron. We used denial to justify eating at restaurants we never got a call for.

Deep down, we all knew that all the restaurants were the same, but denial is sometimes the only thing you have to keep your sanity.

More than once my date would suggest "why don't we go to xxx to eat."

"Uh no"

"why"

"You will have to trust me on this"

Protip: If an EMT does not want to eat at a specific restaurant, trust them. Don't ask them to explain though.

I had to crawl around on the floor of a Cracker Barrel doing repair work once.
It took me 8 years before I could even set foot in one again!
