The first time I ever watched an MTV video I said "Okay. That's stealing years off of everybody's lives. What's the point?"

In thirty years of them, I think I may have seen a dozen that actually tickled me.

Primus makes some eccentric videos. Usually very entertaining.
All Muley has is her chicken butt and that snake tongue, which is only good for making lesbians swoon.

There have been complaints about music videos being too raunchy and sexed up.

I hate modern pop music its rubbish so there.

Pop music back in "our day" was rubbish as well. Good musicians playing their own music sometimes started in the pop genre, but eventually grew out of it and became truly memorable. There is a lot of that today, but nobody in the MTV crowd wants to see it.
