This is the caption that was with the pic of the Bucc-
"From Colin Smedley comes this magnificent image that seems to show 55,000 pounds+ of Blackburn Buccaneer hovering over the runway. In the 1980s and 90s, No 208 Sqn RAF were the real experts in ultra low-level under the radar nuclear strikes. During the International Air Tattoo in 1993, to mark the squadron's 75th birthday, this Buccaneer S.2B was flown at an altitude of just 5 feet for the entire length of RAF Fairford's runway. From inside the massive strike aircraft, it must surely have felt as though they were actually in the ground. Thank God for ground effect. Photo Colin Smedley" But I'm no expert on this aircraft, so I defer to those who know more about it then I do. ![]() |

Some kind of space based ASAT from General Dynamics or Convair.

I wonder if the X-37B might be carrying any of those ASAT's?

Eddie & Jim, I'm happy to admit I'm wrong.

I will always have a soft spot for the F4... Growing up, they would come over the house once a month doing maneuvers above our area, and a couple of times they did low passes over a couple of the lakes around here. When i got older, i was lucky enough to work on them a couple of years before they were retired. LOVED watching them at the air show here, back when they still had air shows here.

Sticking with flying.
I'm guessing it's at the Mach Loop, guaranteed photographers there all year round. ![]()

That wave make me feel very insignificant. Look how small the man is to that wave. Sheesh.
