Actually you metalheads remind me that I do have two bands that I'm stuck listening to over and over at the moment, because I was right up front when they played the same show in toronto this week - Accept, and (especially) Sabaton.

Easily the most fun concert I've been to. Rocked out hard, high-fived the musicians on stage, and all of that! Awesome music, great people Can't stop listening to the records now as a result - I'm sure it'll slow down eventually, but I'm really enjoying it now.

Some good choices in this thread, espcially Kiwi with Muse. Black Holes and Revelations is a gem of an album. They're another one of my favorites.

If I had to pick a favorite band for the moment which, as many of you have said, is very difficult if not impossible, I would have to go with LCD Soundsystem. Electronic is my favorite genre of music and LCD Soundsystem has a mix of electronic/punk/dance that really no other band I've come across can come close to matching. Their style is incredibly unique and the majority of their tracks are deep, meaningful, and a treat to listen to.

Here's my favorite song of theirs:

Actually, I can't decide on a favorite song, so here are two more that I love:

Yeah, and their current album and live show are top-notch! Mark, the current singer, is an awesome match for the band in voice and manner, and he fits on older material like a glove. He's not Udo, but then he's not trying to be, he's just himself and you can tell he's right at home in the band. Instead of being jaded old men, they're just having fun doing their incredible thing on stage and not giving a damn. Here's to hoping they keep on rocking together for a few more

Also, since everyone keeps bringing up Muse, I am also a fan. Saw them live in LA last year

They're one of the headliners at lollapalooza this year, and have promised to play all of Origin of Symmetry for the last time at the summer festivals... I'm not sure I can afford to go But for those of you who can, whether in the US or in the UK, go catch those gigs! Muse are an incredible live show, by far the best live-playing band of the current generation. Their production is always mind-blowing.

I'm going to be home in Chicago for the summer but I don't know if I'll be able to afford the 3-day pass this year. They've got a lot of great bands, and a few that are some of my favorites, but $215 is quite a bit of money.

But you're right, if anyone is capable of making it there, and has the means, it's definitely a worthy experience.

Has anyone happened to say Shinedown? I was never quite fond of them until I saw them in concert when I went to see someone else. Now every time I hear a song of theirs, it's then one of my favorites.

Their most recent song, Diamond Eyes was on the Expendables, and here's the song in it's glory:
