We do not mention "he who must not be named" in this forum!!

The soon this abomination can be forgotten, the sooner humanity can start the healing process.

edit:

You mean the ROK and the US. I seriously doubt anyone in the US at any level, has any motivation to rekindle that war. It's much easier to rotate troops every year, and keep the policy of containment. No one in the US that I ever talked to wants to start shooting, infact, nobody on the US side of things even wants to be there. Amongst US forces in korea, theres a common/popular rumor that we're really there to keep the south from invading the north. Not the other way around. lol

edit:
On that note, the Korean Armed Forces are some tough sonsabitch's.
Yeah I'm aware of the South Korean Armed forces prety scary big guys they have there. The North's elite soldiers are too but just seemed to be less threatening with smaller figure.

Well to me if North Korea is allowed to build nuclear arsenal then ANY OTHER country would be justified to build them as well hence global proliferation. If not it wouldn't be fair and logical. North Korea is the flood gate of global nuclear arm proliferation

The South wouldn't want to invade the North, they see little reason to unite the peninsula because it would burden the South's economy much. The South Koreans are unlike the Germans who still able to view the East as one German nation and willing to be burdened with the cost and social problems especially in the early days.

Are you sure? I've lived there for over a year, and the impression I walked away with is this:

Both sides want a united Korea, because both have something the other needs. The north has raw material, and land, something the south is in short supply of. The south has industry, jobs, (food). Something the North is in short supply of. The trouble is, both want it all, their way.

I could be wrong, but having lived and interacted with them for over a year, that's the impression i had.

and on another subject.

McPeak is the devil! the USAF is a far better place without him.

Snag being, the several million starving North Koreans who will descend upon the south and leave it looking like a plague of locusts have befallen it.
Like the fall of the GDR magnified by about ten million.
