Pelle - you are so out of order!

I too love this game. I've installed a few mods that have taken the game nearer to what I want from it. I'm having as much fun now as I used to when playing SHIII.

Good work from all the modders - so appreciated

I even like the crew management bit where you have to go and talk with them...I just whished there more of if. The bashing of the 1. officer is getting a bit old. I trust in the modders to do something about that

I also found a type IIA/B in folders in the game?! Wonder if its a relic from SH3

I love the sub interior

, cept for the lack of correct lighting, the wardroom, and huge lack of clutter, its cool. I hate everything else. if I rated this game, i'd rate it at a 1 out of 10. why? cause they granted my wish that they'd make a full interior and first person cam, and unchain me from being stuck in one spot,(and really crappy spots) in each area of the sub. And, 1 CAUSE THEY TOOK AWAY EVERYTHING WE NEED TO PLAY THE GAME WITH!!!!!!!!!!!!! the TDC computer to compute fireing solutions for toredoes, the keyboard is almost empty of controls, no 'depth under keel' no full rudders, NO UNITE CAM, no station shortcuts! NO GRAMOPHONE, no TDC system... NOOOO TDC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY!???

the XO gets all solution information half assed, range is always too short, ship speed is always way to fast, most of the times in the 100s knots, mouse so frickin laggy it takes minutes to move it around the screen. Torpedoes launching like super rockets and over shooting targets, sometimes strieght through them.

XO can man deck gun, but never secure it, and must have gills cause he never goes below during diving operations, but stays on bridge with his goons who never use binoculars and point at fish and my external cam....

and Now I can't even end patrol, I go back to kiel, but can't end patrol!

I'm stuck with refitting and heading right back out!

I can't understand for the life of me why'd they rip out all the important fuctions and keys of the u-boat and implement these retarded and bizare

I wanna rip out my game and burry it in the cemetery with honors and a fireing squad, and never speak of the Silent Hunter series ever again!!!!!!!!!

SH5 shames the whole silent hunter franchise! and its an insult to me! I'm hugely offended that'd they took out all our important controls and systems!
this is a SIMULATOR!!!!!!!!!! not a fast paced fistperson shooter game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! simulate the frickin control systems damn it!

the full interiorr of the sub and walking first person cam is something i've always wished for ever since I started playing SH3, but IT DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR THE HUGE LACK OF CONTENT that U use to have as a standard in SH3!!!!!!! Put all of that back into the game and it'd rock my socks off.

I suspect the reason why you can't end the mission is that you are at the wrong port. There should be a small "sub" diamond? shaped icon at a port to the west, try there. I'm at work so I can't check and could be wrong!

The mouse lag: Try vsync off if you've got it on and vica versa. You could try lowering graphics settings a little. The new graphics engine does need a fairly reasonable graphics card when everything is turned on.

I will reserve my agreement with the OP until AFTER UBI fixes the show stoppers

with a patch or two (and they had better be FREE).

Until then GWX 3.0 still has SH5 beat by a wide margin.

I haven't gotten SH5 and stopped playing SH3 a couple years ago, really just haven't had the time. I will wait to see what SH5 brings and in the meantime I may fire up SH3 again. Funny to think of how far we have come since the SH2 days. I still have that loaded and heavily modded on an old PC and keep it around just for that reason. Talk about a game with bugs

I don't believe 90% of the poeple posting here now ever played that one or have any idea how much time and effort the community put into making that a decent sub sim. If that mess of a game could be improved then SH5 will certainly make giant leaps, although only by the efforts of modders. All in good time....

I love SH-V, at least I am trying hard.
It's the first client-based MMORPG which works in single user mode;
I hope the above makes sense.
In the meantime, fortunately/unfortunately SH-III+GWXv3.0 will be with us for a long time.
How strange, a 2005 game to be better than a 2010 game !
