Same post here. Sailor Steve knows what i mean. Still wondering why so many of you AND some modders still believe that, if you´re not willing to buy it

Gutteds thread isn´t so different from urfischs

The only reason I'm not willing to buy it is "The Thing". Once that is gone I'm all in, and always have been.

If it never goes, I guess I'll have to watch from the sidelines.

"epic fail" is meant to describe the whole progress of this game, including the final release.

...and i may see this game as a young born child...but i do not accept this type of policy from the publishers and you all just feeling fine with it. so i dropped this kind of "emotional" discussion. i want to know, what you all are thinking about the game, now some people already have it - and are able to let us have a deeper look onto it. and what we see is not, what we expected, right?

dont take my words to personal...but you must admit, they have a true core.

Hence why Ubi didnt allow anyone to do a full review before release.

You've all done exactly as Ubi had hoped, bought the game before it gets low scores from reviews.

so did Ubi epic fail? not on the PR side, by the looks of it. LOL

I wouldn't call it an epic fail. There's still a sub sim in there somewhere.

Just needs alittle more loving. Mostly in the periscope.

SH3 and SH4 was rough at release, too.

Will it ever be perfect? Nope... not until I've got a full field-of-view head mounted display, motion platform, and sea salt mist/bucket machine.

I've got faith that the modders will take SH5 and make it into something beautiful.

GreatgoogillyMoo of Epic Failure proportion batman.

Wow, never heard so many cliche internet repetition in one forum before. Getting a good laugh at the drama.

I'm having a good laugh!! SHIII now has new compartments, animated engine room etc, new Sub Pens, and many new mods on the go!
It is disappointing though that UBI still hasn't learnt after all this time, repeating a lot of the old mistakes!! IMO it doesn't look much different than SH4, only with added OSP, less U-boat types and ending in 43!!

I felt guilty and changed it back. Plus, like Longam, I like the drama.

Software is never 100% complete, or finished. It is "released".

A similar idea from my previous life as a fiction writer (but could apply, I think, to any creative endeavor):

A novel is never truly finished by an author; it is simply abandoned.
