This is unfortunate, as we had just started to understand Uber Gruber's anger at us, having discovered that he's a Pompey fan. He has therefore already experienced the end of the world."

Classic TDK, genius even.

Your excellent humor of a few years back was an integral part of subsim, UG. Don't let your frustration at Ubisoft surpress that.

Yeah, but from UBI or from someone else? I mean, aboout SH5 or something else?

My guess:

"ANNOUNCEMENT!!!: Due to disgusting joking with the subsim.com community, GoldenRivet has been Keelhauled "

You needn't worry there TDK, but thanks for the concern.

Unfortunately, being only a meer mortal puts me somewhat at a disadvantage. As mortals, I believe, have a tendency to get a little frustrated and annoyed at incompetence, arsology and bad spelling.

Did you hear they wont even let Neal beta-test the blighter ? How annoying is that ? Still, I must endeavour to curtail my humaness so I can walk amongst the gods n'est-ce pas ?

My guess would be that Ubisoft will announce that there will be some kind of access to the game prior to its release. Didn't they do that with SHIV at some location in the UK?

It's either that or Dan's coming out!

Kidding, Dan! No need for the 44 magnum!!!!

The Gamestar, a German gaming magazine writes today, that Ubisoft has reported yesterday that some of their games who are scheduled for release Q1 2010 now are postponed. Similarly, some of their game projects who are already in development and still should be published in Q1, are now completely cancelt. But Ubisoft don't tells for now the names of these games!

The 2010-11 line-up will be more focused on the Xbox 360® and PLAYSTATION® 3, the consoles which are expected to experience sustained sales growth in games for gamers in calendar 2010.

whose joking??

i can only relay what i heard.

of course their opinion of "big announcement" and ours may differ.

my guess... first or second week of February - more screenies or another video of sorts

of course until then... it is pure speculation, there is always the possibility that the big announcement will be delayed or might never happen at all

such is life

UBI, fed up with all the nitpicking complaints from the sub sim community have had enough and are dumping the project altogether.

The Russian Page where the new screenshots are from says:

"Дата выхода II квартал 2010г."

Which Google Translate says means:

"Released II quarter of 2010."

Is this statement for russia only?!

Hello,
someone mis-translated this 2nd quarter into second month of 2010.
And it's the release for the iPod, not PC

Greetings,
Catfish

Maybe it is the last SH to be released from Ubi
as they will concentrate on consoles in the future
Let's hope SH5 will have only a few bugs as we may not expect full support with patches

my guesses

1. A new set of screen shots

2. A new video which will address the concerns of the realism crowd

3. A delay of some sort

4. a playable demo

guesses appear in order of most likely to least likely to happen
