Well call them tea baggers call them astroturfers call them what you wish but the truth is that it is a grass roots movement which is gathering momentum.

Sure go ahead and impune the source. Fact of the matter is that the story is not fabricated.

That was done by anti-Bush liberals many years ago. You have that one backwards.

Not according to the junior democratic senator from Rhode Island, Sheldon Whitehouse:

Quote:
Worse, these messages have been delivered with a crudeness and a venom; for example, the President portrayed with a Hitler mustache. That is unprecedented in my experience in government.

One wonders what rock he's been living under for the past 9 years...

Wasn't Fox caught out faking their coverage of the protests.
Having Hannity talking about the great turnout but showing a different protest because the actual turnout was so poor.

Considering that you have had to invent "facts" to support your position it speaks volumes about you and your position

Sigh ...

It actually comes from multiplayer fps games believe it or not. It has to do with a series of gestures in which one dangles their private parts or at least that region of thier 'toon' in the face of a fallen victum as a sort of victory dance.

Very classy, very immature, very much why I dont play games like WoW.

It also has some further inference in pornographic and homosexual Connotations.

So one can clearly see why some would find this phrase offensive.

Which is why the protesters were rather silly to use it in the first place.
It could be said that their choice of words has come back and slapped them in the face.
They certainly made a balls of it when they printed those posters didn't they.

I always found it a tad abstract. After all when the actual Bostan Tea Party took place there was no such thing as a tea bag.

It was a pretty obscure bit of slang until the Democrats on msnbc and cnn popularized it as a way of ignoring what these people were protesting.

That's ok though. I believe their message will be heard loud and clear next election.
