Win7 includes DX11. Been playing both DX9 and DX10 games on the beta and RC (build 7000 & 7100), working great.

MS FSX is a dx10 game when played on Vista that plays just fine on XP dx9.
While they haven't said so . Why can't it be dx10 capable and can dumb down to XP dx9 ? Again this info I think could be released without giveing away to much of the game. I think alot should concerned about the duo-core requirement. And I don't even want to discuss the laptop users who have probs with SHIV. |

If your Vid Card doesn't support it DX10, it wont matter anyway.

Considering a lot of people still prefer XP over Vista, I doubt SH5 would be DX10 only. Everything up till now has been DX9 with a DX10 "mode" that adds some minor eyecandy. You'll notice it in comparisons if you know what you're looking for, but it isn't exactly revolutionary.
In Crysis for example, the clearest difference is from the addition of a new type of shader that has a higher precision. You'll notice vegetation, particularly on trees, has a slightly different position in DX10 mode. Big whoop. ![]() Imho it's not an issue, nothing to worry about. ![]()

Sure does, desktop equivalent would be something like 8800/9800GT; it's based on the G92 core that you find on those cards, which are DX10.
Should work, though some games don't "officially" support mobile chipsets.

You mean if that 260M supports DX11? No, it's a DX10 chip. The first DX11 cards should make their appearance later this year, with Nvidia's GTX 300 series and ATI's 5000 series.
99% sure SH5 won't have DX11 features, considering it isn't mainstream yet (far from it, even DX10 isn't universally accepted yet). I wouldn't worry about it yet, at least untill those first cards see the light of day it's not worth wondering about.

The way i understand it is , they have dx10 option in the graphics options of sh5 and you can turn them on or off depending if you have a dx10 card . Is this right . From what i have read dx 10.1 allows for a much better frame rate because developers can utilize the cards full potential .
