i am assuming everyone will stay on the high road here, but because discussions of crewmembers race has caused conflicts in other forums let me remind you that the germans had no persons of color in their military.

for realism sake it would be out of place to see a black man on a german sub. saying a black man doesnt belong on a uboat is historically accurate and it is correct for the time period so let us keep this fact in mind please.

that said, anyone working in engine rooms could be so filthy and dirty that they could very well look black untill they cleaned up so who is to say for sure if he is only looking like a black man because he is covered in soot?
