Thank you... I really don't want her back. The last few alien flicks sucked. Her influence ruined them.. First 2 great but after that they for the dogs...

I liked all three of the originals, fourth sucked balls. I'm on the "Alien 3 was AWESOME!" side, mainly because after all that happened in ALIEN & ALIENS, Ripley still doesn't get home and above all that she loses all her loved ones. The Trilogy is more about the living hell of Ripley than it is about the aliens, then came the fourth and cocked all up. Tho, Alien 3 does mess with the integrity of the series in terms of what have been gathered about the aliens in the last two flicks.

And then came the Special Edition (I think) of Alien 3 that really fudged things up with the ox scene.

Woot, ordered the Alien Quadrilogy 9-DVD boxset. 8 versions of the movies (theatrical & Special Editions), 1 DVD per movie devoted to making of documentaries, storyboards, stills, designs, deleted scenes etc. + 1 extra DVD with misc extras for all the movies.

Anyway the 1st Alien film was surely inspired by this one, from the derelict ship to the giant skeleton :

Wee got the Quadrilogy (Took their bloody time ) and all I can say is 'wow..'

Highly recommended to anyone interested in the saga. Especially the 'ALIEN' storyboard is great, some cool scenes in it that sadly never made it into the movie.

AFAIK, there's an Blue-Ray version coming too with even more extras and rumours has it that some stuff about the new movie too.
