Looks good SoW. Time for that 22 inch digital monitor.

yep, that comes at the end of the semester when i sell back my books. The Dell CRT has served me well though, and it looks just fine for the time being.

I have always preferred a CRT to a flat screen for gaming... anyone else?

I love my new 20" flatscreen LCD. Blows my old CRT away!

I used to agree with you Akula--until I got my flat screen. I'll never go back. Seriously--what you say used to be true but the LCD technology has greatly improved. And I now have room to set my coffee down ! There are many Great CRTs though!

Congrats on the new system SoW!!! I just ordered a new video card today (that usually means a new mbd, cpu, ram, case and pws aren't far behind LOL).

You are probably right, Peto... once it was that way but now could be a totally different story. I have been out of the hardware loop for several years just enjoying the system I had.

I've been wrong before and I will likely be wrong again!

I started that club ! I always figure if someone doesn't correct me at least once a day, I haven't learned anything .

Computer Repair and selling/building new systems is what I do for a living. And I've gotten to be a fan of LCDs (and they're priced well too!). But I'm also a HUGE Fan of "if it's working for you, why fix it?" I never buy leading edge hardware because the cost/benefit isn't that great. I didn't get a LCD until my CRT went boots-up. On the other hand, there's no way I'd change back.
