Great choice. I'll be happy to contribute. I really miss Dave, I loved reading his posts and wondering what he would come up with next for us.

How about that? Does that work?

Ok, Terry will start working with you on the text, I'll try to get an idea of the max word count tomorrow.

You can count me in on this.

It's actions like this that make me proud to be a member here and I'm sure Dave would agree.

Good plaque. I think he would have loved it.

Im not much for words in these matters, but when i think of Dave (as i knew him , of only on the forums,) for some reason, i think of the Robert Frost Poem, "The road not taken".
http://www.bartleby.com/119/1.html

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

To me, that was Dave, and how he made a difference here.

Neal, that is an excellent choice, and i totally agree; a proper thing since we are a world-wide community, as you stated.
Count me in on this, just name the sum needed.

And this is what happens when you leave the forums for a couple months. What the heck happened to him? This really sucks.

Very, very fitting Neal. I heartily approve of this one!

I guess that's the least that could be done after he's done so much good work for no reward other than helping the community.

Really nice. Also as somebody suggested I would add some notes about his beloved sub the Seadragon something as Seadragon CO on ethernal patrol.

Maybe something like they give the skippers when they leave a command, something like official looking.

I think something like this would be very fitting:

"Dave LEOVAMPIRE Bunnell"

May you experience in Heaven the same joy that you brought to others on Earth.

"And when the end has come at last,
And unfilled shadows heaven casts,
Remember we who served and fell,
And to the hosts of heaven tell;
Bring home my boys who loved so well."

Create your offerings, Guys, and we'll set up a poll so that people can vote for their favorite memorial plaque prose.
