This sounds more like a result of the incompatible GWX2 Randomised events.cfg file. If you run SH3Cmdr with the malfunction/sabotage effects option selected, turn it off and the CTDs should disappear. The GWX team is currently working on a fix.
Danke!

Default Weather changes

The problem I found with changing the RND.mis file, as described, and then using SH3Weather is the SH3Weather program changes the values back to "1" and so I get the prolonged weather again. I have found that changing the values to "2" works for the fog, rain, and clouds, but not for the wind. I still get weeks of 15m/s wind, which makes my deck gun and flack guns useless. It appears that once the wind gets set to 15m/s, it stays there until the end of the patrol.

Wolfehunter: I have tried several times to use SH3 weather to change in mid patrol, as you describe, but I have not had any luck with it.

Ok, I used SH3 Weather with GWX2.0. I set up the weather "manually" at the start of the patrol with some rain, clouds overcast and bad visibility to cut with the everlasting "Clouds partial, Visibility modrate, wind 4ms" nice weather pattern .

Well, first of all, the 2 109s overhead in poor visibility conditions does not make sense. Moreover, when loading a saved game (far from base, of course) "precipitations none" becomes invariably "precipitations medium" and the rain disappears after a few secs leaving you only with the sound of the rain...without the graphics...

What I'll do now is to try to run SH3 Weather without the manual option to check how it goes

I will keep you posted about this new set up.

I can't speak to the rest, but the planes, like the ships in-harbor and the crowds on the dock, are scripted. They are there no matter what the weather conditions, but when the weather is bad enough you can't see them anymore.

SH3 Weather in its "non-manual" configuration seems to work fine

I'm trying to find an old thread about adjusting the wave height, lost all my bookmarks in an O.S reload. Have tried the search, but no luck.
As I remember it the new values to edit into the SIM files were something like:

**example
[Mech]
Waves amplitude=0.20 ;[0,1]
Waves attenuation=0.04 ;>=0

I'm not at all sure these were the right values, does anyone have the link or can give the right numbers. I used the new settings in GWX 1.03, and they seemed to work well. I am trying to find them to insert onto GWX 2.0.
