The official torrent is 100% good, I can vouch for that

Can't say the same for the other stuff I've seen knocking around

I'll keep it up for at least a month (probably a lot longer) to allow it to flourish on the official server

Alright, I downloaded uTorrent but I can't get jimbuna's torrent to work. HELP!

Are you using windows firewall? (XP)
If so you can use the control panel \ windows firewall \ exceptions \ add program and browse to the location of utorrent .exe and tell windows to allow it. Also If you're using a router, you might need to tell it to enable UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) - in some cases it is off by default. You could always try port forwarding (if you use a router) but that's loads of grief.

Either way, try to let your firewall (whatever it may be) grant access to utorrent.

how do I make exceptions for Norton Internet Security firewall as I don't use window's?

Alright, Norton is now allowing utorrent, bit it is still extremely slow (0.5 kb/s). What else can I do as I'm still getting the same port error message? Does this have anything to do with the fact that my internet is provided through my college campus?

That may well be the case. I know some halls of residence here in the UK block certain ports or limit the traffic speed accross their network. You might be out of luck

Thank you to the whole GWX team. Your hardwork is very much appreciated. I'm sure there's a lesson for UBI to learn from here; great job and dedication done by those for a love of the game and not for greed.
Already started a campaign, leaving Wilhelmshaven in Sep. 39 and have been assigned to patrol Rockall Bank. Time to deposit a few torpedos in The Bank; British won't be happy about that, but, what the hey. I'm taking my own sweet time leaving port to enjoy all that 2.0 offers. Thanks again!

Just got everything up and running and thanks to your simple installation instructions, I didn't run into a single snag.

MANY thanks to the GWX team! Your selfless efforts are not nearly as celebrated as they should be. Excellent work on 2.0!!!
