Looking around corners of your screen...oh yes done that...
worse, I tried doing that while in an actual car instead of just looking out the sidewindow ![]() |

Sometimes I wear my Russian Navy shirt when I play SH3,4, or DW.
It's a very comfortable shirt; official lounging around shirt. ![]()

One summer I vowed to do an entire Aces of the Deep patrol (on a IIC... so it was relatively short) in realtime. 4 weeks... 4 WEEKS of about 8-10 hours a day.
Yeah. I was a nerd... |

When playing Red Orchestra and I see a grenade land in front of me, I often physically lurch backwards in my chair. One day, I'm going to fall out of my chair at 2 in the morning and scare the hell out of my girlfriend.

I always wave to my enemy after a kill with my sniper on TF2 ("Thanks fer stayin' still, wanker!"). Always laughs quietly at the same time. I know pretty much every quote from the game:
Oh dear, I make quite a mess... Eat it, fatty! Now is Coward Killing Time! Take it like a man! From now on, losing is verboten! This is my world...You are not welcome in my world! Mmmmfffmmmmffmmmmmmff! I should've saved a bullet for some of you blokes! Ooh....I love...every...single....one of ya'!.........Not you.... And the list goes on:rotfl:

When I start my manager modes in the newest iteration of FIFA, I always have a 'scouting cheat sheet' of all the under-19 players in the game. I do this because I'm very picky about realism in my sports games, and the game 'generates' ersatz players as the manager mode progresses. I also write down the final table at the end of each season as well. |

Anyone remember that old EA game 'SEAL Team'? For it's time, the ambient noise was great...serious immersion.
Was late one summer night, and I was sneaking my virtual SEALS through the Mekong Delta, taking pains to be as silent as possible. A sudden noise alarmed me, and I fired off ten rounds from the Stoner my guy was carrying. What was the noise? My icemaker, in the kitchen, dropping it's latest batch of cubes.

Once, I recall in LOMAC almost falling out of my chair whilst ducking out of the way as an Su-27 (think it was a -27) flashed past my F-15 from nowhere and so almost collided with me.
I do the same thing with the sentries in TF2...it's just that "Beep-beep-beep.....beep-beep-beep...." sound that lets you know that trouble is ahead....then of course, there's the inevitable... "Spy sappin' mah sentree!" |

Hey all, nice place you have here. I remember once, last year actually, there was a time where I was playing the STEAM game Day of Defeat: Source (a WWII squad level multiplayer game). I was working as a Security Officer in a local hospital at the time and the night before my shift began I must have play for hours before bed time. During the game I was mostly playing as a German Rifleman.
The next day I was walking through what was suppose to be an empty building in one wing of the hospital and I was lost in my own thoughts thinking about the night before and how much fun I had playing Day of Defeat Source when a janitor came walking around the corner of the far side of the hallway I was on. What was my first reaction and instinct? I did like what any self respecting soldier would do lost in his own thoughts, I pulled my hands up to my chest as if I were holding a K-98 and about to target with the iron sights. As I were going through the motion it suddenly dawned on me when I came out of mid thought that I was actually mimicking the first reaction that came out of my mind (still in Day of Defeat mode in gah gah land) and that I had raised my hands to my chest.I made cool recovery though as I pretended I was about to sneeze. What about the janitor, he never new he almost became my latest victim of the German war machine. Making motions with my hands. Done that while in public. Turning my bedroom into an Apollo moon orbiter. Not there yet. Great story. You can be my friend anyday. Cheers! |
