The unfortunate side effect is that invariably, she has been asking you what you would like for supper. In not getting an answer, she is then free to cook whatever she wants, usually your least favorite dish. Ignoring her further then gets said dinner served into your lap...

If she does not get an answer she will make reservations for dinner and meet her boyfriend there
Who might turn out to be DeepIron

Default just get them interested in the sim's 2

No need to help them kill things and can spend money in the game how ever they want and decorate the house how ever they want and not empty your wallet in real life. :rotfl: :rotfl:

But if your in the same room just need to get head phone's so you don't get b*tched at to turn down the volume during a DC attack.

I’ve only been married for a little over a year and a half. We had several conversations early on in our relationship about me being a gamer and that it is a hobby for me. It was hard for her because in her eyes, a 27 year old should have out grown playing computer games. It took me awhile to introduce her to my friends and other people for her to realize that gamers are now the “norm” and there isn’t anything wrong with it.

Since we got married it’s been an issue of time/timing. I spend maybe on average 3 hours during the workweek on my computer, which is done at night after she’s gone to bed. The main issue crops up during the weekend where I try to specify a “game time” with those that I play SH4 and other games with (usually an hour or two for the whole weekend). Stuff that has to be done around the house takes #1 priority before I even sit down and turn my computer on. I’m fine with interruptions, it the continually getting upset over taking up 45 minutes of that hour that I specified and me wanting to continue playing so that I can play for an hour instead of 15 minutes. This of course has led to some “reasonable expectations” conversation.

If you think it's fun now, wait 'til you have kids....

You sound just like my brother-in-law, and I had no idea he was on this board! Hey, Bro! You may all give considerable thanks this Thursday, gentlemen, that you are not married to my sister. I mean, I love her and she's a swell person, but when she wants one of those weekend projects done she has a way of saying my brother-in-law's name that - that - glaaah! Sounds like a gale force wind in the rigging of the Flying Dutchman....

I'm lucky enough to know how lucky I am. Ex-girlfriend of mine had the same attitude about computer games I heard someone else mention. Games were for teenagers. She was the same way about cartoons. Totally didn't understand the concept of South Park.

My fiancee on the other hand...she plays X-Men Legends with me, throws out occasional comments when she's watching a movie while I'm playing (see signature).

On really good days, she offers to watch me play.

She's a big fan of horror movies, too, while I'm not. I sink Japs while Mike Myers fillets teenagers.

My wife's is the same I hate horror movies (I watched her fav, the butterfly effect, to make her happy, but she won't watch Das Boot!)

I wait till she falls asleep (scratching her back is the best way I found), then I go and play for a couple of hours. I'm trying to convince she doesn't need me there when she watches Wolf Creek!

Oh man , can I relate

LoL, well my wife goes to bed early, so I became a night owl. I had a span where my wife got on my case and I told her jee, I could be out drinking, partying , cheating ( the DEATH RAY stare) and I'm like you have me practically every day, you drag me out of bed at 4:30 in the morning 50% of the time, and when you get home working on your stuff for school (shes a teacher) why do you demand I watch what you do?

Personally I think women have a lot of insecurities and I guess nagging us to do all these little random things while we are busy playing our games is there way of saying..

"PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!! and I rather have you do something else then play your stupid game, I just wont tell you. I much rather have you do these little things I do not know how to do, I act like I do not know how to do, or I just do not want to learn how to do it, so I can snag you away from your game to make me feel better, that your doing something productive".

So yah, My wife and her friends hate it when I look at them after I make a comment when they tick me off on purpose and I tell them what I know they are thinking (body language, facial expression, the way the say it, and how). They hate the fact I know what they are thinking, it makes them uncomfortable, very angry and flustered.

heheh Its a gift that works great and made dating even more interesting back in the day, heheh.

Just live on bugger-all sleep like I do. Kids in bed, wife ditto, crack open SH3+GWX and do a patrol. To the end, even if it takes 3 hours . Turn up to work next day feeling groggy and sleep deprived, but at the same time satisfied with a good bucketload of tonnage
