Did finish watching the first half of the long documentation on the making of Blade Runner, "Dangerous Days". great stuff, well presented. I did only knew of the movie not being an immediate commercial success, more the opposite, but the shooting was very long, preshooting as well, and lots of trouble with strikes, financiers, a stubborn Ridley Scott, and a T-shirt war between him and the crews. Shooting under often extremely stressful condition, always at night, in constant smoke, rain, - the crew oiften ran around in gasmaksks, for days and nights! Harrison Ford was pissed by making the movie.

Also interesting how the movie was originally planned, I hope the draft version features the deleted scenes that wereput into the docu. Many chnages were planned originally, and even Tyrell himself should have been a Nexus, with the orginal being dead since years and stored in a mausoleum one level above Tyrell's sleeping room. Things like that that make the story even more typical for Philip K. Dick's story ideas. Plus a little naughty original idea with almost naked sex scenes with rachel and Deckard, massgraves of killed replicants, etc, Deckard visiting Holden in his iron lung, and more..

I usually do not care for all these background materials in a box, but broke with that rule in this case, of course. Can't say I regret it. It's extremely interesting, despite the several hours-long playing length.
