LOL I know what you mean, I was bored waiting for something to load on my computer the other day and I was like "damn, wish there was TC in RL!"

Your sitting playing at well past midnight and you turn off all the lights in your computer room so you can make a night surface attack with out being seen. Or you turn off all the light and wisper rig for red

I did this lastnight. My torpedo slamed into the side of tanker and i yelled for joy. everybody in the room looked at me funny and told me to be quiet. So i answered aye, aye sir, rig for silent running. When my next torpedo slamed into the side of a ship I yelled much quieter. still got funny looks

You are out on patrol and you can't bring yourself to end/save your patrol, so you read the new Harry Potter book out loud to the crew.

Oddly enough I was quite drunk and headed back to Pearl last night. I stepped outside for a smoke.

I glanced over my shoulder and saw "starshells" er maybe it was the just the streetlight through my neighbors tree.

You know you're really addicted when:

Your boss is telling you for the umpteenth time how he managed to save a bunch of money on having a new swimming pool installed at his house, and all you can think of is how you wish you could submerge and sneak away....and maybe fire a parting shot. :p
Or when you sit at your computer for hours looking for the Das Boot theme song for your ringtone.

Driving home from work at night, blinking lights have me looking around for the other destroyers and thinking "Take her deep, fast!"

I issue the dive command then close all the doors and windows in the house.

When the DCs start exploding I reach out and grab the monitor to keep it from falling over.

When I wake up in the morning I call it rising to pariscope depth.

Sometimes at work my code is just too damaged to repair and I sink.

I like the "All Stop" joke the best so far.

I have been at it most of today. Woke up late and wanted to see what targets I can sink. I ran into a small convoy consisting of 3 Shiratsuya Destroyers, 1 large passenger ship and a medium passenger ship. All ships sunk. Now I am in the bismark sea waiting for a large convoy but I am not sure how to take them down.

You know you've been playing SHIV too long when the sun goes down and you turn all the lights off in the room and exchange the lightbulb on the lamp on your desk for a red bulb so your eyes become accustomed to the dark.
