Trying to remember some of the WWII documentary where sub was a part of the series.
I remember one where the host said something with. The were nothing else the crew could do than wait for the inevitable. With this in mind I think the Crew on USS Thresher was aware of where they were heading and what would happen to them. This is of course speculations. Markus
