Congratulations Penelope

Wasn't that long ago that you were about to give up because you couldn't sink anything. Glad you persisted?

Biggest I've bagged so far is a BB.

See you at Steed's party

Carriermania?

I don't know what game you're all playing, during 42 patrols and 926 days on sea I managed to meet ONE carrier west of Bergen (which I sunk with my tiny Type II D ).

Cheers,
AndyW

Congrats! An impressive kill in nasty weather! Only got me a battleship so far, and that was a nice non moving target in Scapa Flow.

Well done! Hope you got a nice juicy medal and promotion from that!

A smoke of a good victory cigar is in order. A small self endulgence as reward for such a fine feat.

By the way, did kaleuns carry cigars on their boats? would they actualy smoke them while on board (cough cough, give me some fresh air please)?

Well, maybe you can chew on your victory cigar all day until you get a chance to surface in nice weather so you can enjoy it properly and peacefuly while up on the bridge?

Congrats, never even seen a carrier saw HMS Nelson once and put 5 torpedoes in her before she sailed out of chasing range!

I just made another attack on a convoy, got away by the skin of my teeth only. It was in the shallow waters, bottom depth from surface to sea bed. 169m... :O I only just got away I had two black swans chasing me. I conducted the majority of the attack on the surface but got spotted and forced under fired one last blast at Persicope depth and then off I went straight down, I was literally trying to beat the depth charges in a dive to the bottom, I managed it, I set depth for 161m and wiped some sweat of me forehead. lol

Convoy attack yielded in one swoop 16,000+ tons. I have 8 torpedoes left. Not too shabby. But its no aircraft carrier

I am looking for them!! Hopefully I can salvage an average patrol of 25k.

For the carrier, absolutely I agree. Saturday and Sunday are my cigar days. Fridays I just have 3 menthol cigarettes which is today, got one ciggie left to go. I only smoke on weekends, so am not too bad.
