Yes, it helped.

I also tried the u-boat in a single mission, where you have to sink RN Italia battleships. I was able to constantly "sail" at 310m, without any damage.

Wow! If you can get under the 300m you are then officially safe from depthcharges.

310m thats more than 1000 feet!!!

I thought so too. But the thing was, that a dc destroyed my conning tower with both periscopes and all the flak guns.

yes it is, but the VIIC/41 in stock is just a clone of the regular VIIC. Though via SH3 commander it did get the greater diving depth. But this is a more accurate rendition of it with the increased bow and the forward life raft canisters.

Not too sure, but I think the minelaying boats were the 6 Type VIID's built.

However, there is a mention of the Type VIIC/41's from U1271 onwards having their mine fittings "removed", so maybe they DID do minelaying ops!

Excellent work Cobalt and thanks.

Do you guys think I should update the ZON file for the non commander users? It's something I overlooked before release. Without an updated ZON file, the people not using commander won't get an increased crush depth.

Try to cater for all users, I wish I could do the same for my mods.

It might be a nice thing to do. I'm sure they'd appreciate it.

I used the Commander install and confused to having the correct boat.
First I'd like to know when the /41 was available, mid August perhaps? I ask because I was in early June and went to load the mission and the caladar ticked down to August 9th. Used f12 to look at the boat and I don't have dual flak but there are 4 or so extra tiny hatches off to one side forward. And the ring antenna tucked away and the other antenna shows.
Rolled back to the VIIB for now, I can't see upgrading untill I can get dual flak.
