J class.

not in the traditional DC sense. twice now i've tried to dodge it coming down on my scope, twice i've been too late. i died both times. the second time its bow took my watch tower straight off and death was immediate (destroyed by collision). i was probably decapitated

i've played too much fps, and i sometimes enjoy strafing around ships just for a cheap thrill. i also forget that subs don't go from reverse to flank forward very quickly

HMS Hood and Iowa-class BBs.

Those are the only two ships that I have yet to one-shot. I fear them because I value every one of my torpedoes, and both eat them up.

Just an hour ago I escaped two Black Swans & some DE. Had to go below 290m to be safe, they kept losing contact and picking it up very quickly. I didn`t count the amount of DCS thrown, but there were dozens of them.
Still, it seemed that they`ve made too much mess in the water so I could get away after 2hrs battle... not that bad I dare say.

Any battle that you surviv and take home at least half your boat and some of your crew albeit in the boats freezer is a good

I always go "damn" inside when my scope passes over a Black Swan. They have a cool name and eat uboats.

I actually suspect they huddle together in Scapa and feast on old uboat-remains when we are not looking.

Black Swan for me, followed by everything that carries tins on the back, and planes way down the list. They DO get me sometimes, but you are safe when you dive, not so with the chaps in the machinegun-strapped Formula 1 death machines.

:hmm: Anything that can shoot back with guns, carries DCs and Hedgehogs. As said before, I respect them. But up close and personal, I get worried not scared. If your'e scared, you don't always use your head and think smart. You have to try and out think them to survive. And these AI escorst have a mind of their own.

Enemy aircraft are another story. You have to be ready for them at all times, night and day with good lookouts. Once you see them they're pretty predictable and can be dealt with quickly if you have good guns crews. Be asleep at the wheel and you're toast.

Default Storm Hidden Ships

MOst of the times when I have lost a prized crew (one I had built up and nursed) was when I was in thick rain and storm late at night. So many times in fact - I generally stay under in storms late at night. As I recall Donitz lost his three top aces all with in a short time of one another during the same storm.
