Right it's time to separate the men from the boy's who would drink this one?

Quote:
World's strongest beer
A brewery in the States has launched the world's strongest beer.

The drink - at 25% alcohol - is six times more powerful than a normal beer and twice the strength of a bottle of wine.

I really enjoy a cold bottle of Staropramen, especially the dark. The Belgian beer, Stella Artois, is malt goodness too. Good beer that.

I bet you that this beer is pretty bad. Probably more a Cru or barely wine since getting more than 10% alc is neer impossible unless using ice brewing methods where they freeze the beer and take the water out leaving the alc. The beer I post above is as close as you can get alc wise without turning into a pretty gross sryup without using ice techniques.

This thread made me move my ass to the store and buy some beer, unfortenally I live in Sweden now, so all liquor stores are closed after 18:00....
So I had to go to the local grocery store where they only sell beer no stronger than 3,5%.
Seriously this contry is tragic when it comes to alcohol.
- State monopoly on alocohol = Crazy taxes on alcohol
- Really bad opening hours Mon-Fri:10-18 Sat:10-13 Sun:Closed
- You actually need to go to special liquor stores, it's not to hard to find one in big cities but when you go outside them, that's where the problems begin.

I'll see if I can buy a bottle of that Sam Adams strongest beer. I can't seem to find it. It is rather pricey, but I don't think one bottle is going to kill me. That is if it can be bought. I'll let you guys know if its a Cru or Barley Wine instead of a ture beer.

PS. Update - Just found someone I know thats tried it - my suspicions are correct - its pretty gross. I still want to try it however.

It doesn't even have any foam. Be kind to your taste buds.

Well, back in the day when I used to party in Deutschland it was Parkbrau Pils or Export. Also liked Hefeweizen with a lemon, Dos Equis Dark, Becks Dark, Molson, Molson Brador, and Czech Budvar. U.S. imports labeled as Warsteiner, Bitburger, etc. do not taste like the originals (check the labels).
Nowadays it's Mountain Dew or Hawaiin Punch...

Yours, Mike

Generally beers stronger than 7-8% are rank, and only produced for high ABV.

Mostly I'm a spirits drinker, but if beer is going I'll have an Erdinger. Or a good stout.
