Yes, we have the privilege of being full-time game designers What started as a hobby is now our daytime job. This is not to say, though, that it was easy to get here or that we are taking it lightly - far from it!
Anyway, we are giving this project our all, and hopefully the game will appeal both to subsim enthusiasts and board gamers alike |

Great photos from Essen
My son went this year, but I didn't. The board game looks very attractive, will seriously consider buying one. Also appreciate the video tutorial...

The rulebook is now undergoing proofreading and final touches before the game is sent to reviewers. Once it is polished enough to share it publicly, we will post it on Boardgamegeek for everyone to read.
In general, do you think it could appeal to subsim fans? After all, it's the first ever tabletop subsim that you can play with your friends! And you really have to communicate and work together, including some strong role-playing aspects! I will be posting stuff as it comes along, and hopefully there will be some more feedback from the Subsim community. After all, we are also doing this game for you - spreading the love for submarine simulation into a new medium! Isn't that exciting? |

Thanks for posting these, I was about to do that myself Anyhow, I've got an important announcement to make:
In the meantime, UBOOT: The Board Game has climbed to number two of Boardgamegeek hotness list and a lot of eyes in the boardgaming world are now set upon its upcoming campaign! Hopefully, there will be enthusiasts in the subsim community to lend us a hand in refining all of this game's numerous intricacies so that it faithfully represents WW2 submarine warfare experience |

Two questions
Hi Artur,
i have two questions about the game. First, why didn´t you use a native german speaker for your companion app? If you can´t hear it, he is probably a dutchman. Second, do you plan different language versions of the game? So that the Kickstarter-Backer has the choice between them? Thanks for answers and your great work. Regards |

Hi there,
We got the best possible value for money from a friend's friend, and the voice is actually a native German speaker (a person of Polish origin who was raised in Germany, and later came to Poland). If the campaign goes well, then we will probably hire a proffessional German voice actor, don't worry And yes, we are planning various language versions (English and Polish will be there for sure, French and Spanish are highly probable, and we don't know about the German version yet). Others are less probable. Last, but not least, the rulebook will be available as soon as the campaign starts (or even before it). Other than that, we've got the first reviews / unboxing, and our campaign preview is up!!! CAMPAIGN INFORMATION: LAUNCH: 22 January 2018 END: 14 February 2018 The preview page: http://kck.st/2Ahv2tv A few first reactions from reviewers: Text review by Tycjan from the Polish blog 'Znad Planszy' (eng. 'From Above the Board'): https://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1911917/first-contact-u... Unboxing by Chief from Bonding with Boardgames: |
