A great movie about terrible times....."A Tale of Two Cities" is a good compliment to this one. I saw the silent version as a little kid and had nightmares.

No Oscar winner for sure...but on balance not a bad movie. Wee bit wonky historically speaking... but who cares.

Small scale WW2 North Africa action - human drama.

Great planes and vehicles...and Lloyd Bridges as a crazed Panzer General....I kept hoping he'd lapse into his "Admiral Benson" character, but no

he played it straight.

Missing the closing credits. Worth watching.

Not so much a 'movie' as it is a show...but I caught the first season of the Das Boot TV series

Man was it hot garbage. Just came to rant

Season 2 and 3 are not available in the US yet but I just don't know if I can take another season of that show.

Do you mean the new series from a few years ago?
I think it could not quite compete with the original "Das Boot" long TV series, but it was 'ok'.. not enough U-boat though, lot of résistance and personal fate.
