I too want another patch to fix the various bugs, but the only bug I just hate is when a destroyer rams you and gets sunk in the process. Its a great game but as PC Gamer put it "She's a fine ship, but she left port before she was seaworthy"

I would like a patch to fix a few basic issues. It cannot be THAT hard.

Else, give us the source code and our modders can do the repair.

It's not a matter of difficulty.

It comes down to whether or not Ubisoft can be bothered to allocate the resources necessary to fix this game.

Yeah I would love to get 1.3, and I hope it happens.

I've bought many UBI games, and the only one that is currently on my PC is SH4.

But I've come to the conclusion that UBI has a trend on releasing games before they are ready. The poor Dev teams do the best with what time they are given, but the ultimate decision to release a game is in the higher up part of the company.

Still, it sux getting a game with half it's sheets still hanging in the wind. I want to have a positve attitude that SH4 will be one of the greatest of the SH series, but please don't leave us hanging in the wind.

If UBI can't take the time to fix SH4 and polish it out, I won't make the time to buy another UBI product.

I hate to have to say that because UBI puts out some unique, interesting and great stuff. But there is only so much frustration a consumer can take.

The mods have picked up the ball, but they can only go so far.

Screwing around the the only PTO subsim on the market is the final straw for me

Fix SHIV, Ubi!

This is my first time posting here and I agree with Neal. I have been reading this forum for quite some time. It is a very informative forum and the modders have my appreciation and gratitude from the first day until now for all that they have done to make this a better game. Thank you so much! I bought two copies of this title, one for my son and one for myself, and I paid $100 of my hard-earned cash for us to have this simulation. While it is remarkable as to the extent the devs have achieved in bringing a game of this caliber to the market it is clear that it is in much need of repair and to be finished. CTD has got to be fixed for me along with everything else they advertised it to do. Also, I am really amazed that I have only read one post complaining about the stern and the bow being turned around so that when you are diving you get the wrong side of the ship moving down. As has already been stated in another post, true simmers shouldn’t appreciate that poor oversight on Ubi’s part. That, as well as hearing the sound of the engines coming from the wrong end of the ship. This could be a top of the line sim if Ubi would do what is right and fix it so that paying customers like all of us on here would get what they paid for. I have already backed off from playing it as much because of all of the bugs. For everyone’s information, when I called customer support many weeks ago concerning this game the person who answered the phone was not only very rude but they insisted that nothing was wrong with this game. When I told them to read all of the posts that people are making to the contrary, I was informed by customer support that Ubi Soft never reads the forums that are online. I hope the makers of this potentially great game will do what is right and fix it. Either give me my patch/patches or give me my $100 back! Class action law suits are not unheard of.

I can only totally agree with the posts here. Thanks to the two patches already released, Silent Hunter IV is now a stable and enjoyable game, but it is still too incomplete, with too many unresolved issues and bugs ( if they are bugs ) A third patch, following the suggestions made by Neal Stevens, would, I believe, satisfy the vast majority of dissatisfied customers still out there.

I laughed when I seen this post until I realized it was serious, it is unbelievable that there might not be a patch 1.3, they would not leave it this close to completion of the game would they? That would be complete madness on behalf of UBI to abandon yet another game while still not finished there rep: is already abysmal, how low do they want to go, bankruptcy maybe, I for one would never buy from them again and I imagine quite a few of you would follow suit. UBI may travel down the same path as their beloved starforce.

I signed/

It would satisfy the hardcore realism-crazy fans (1% of the market of this not-that popular game (compared to others like Counter-Strike, WoW etc)) so afterall it's just a question about money... Are they willing to support those hundreds hardcore fans? As you've seen it yourself, SH4 tries to appeal to more general public, and that public probably wont even notice these "bugs"...

Just my 2 cents...
