I was in a Gato and the star was not out in mid ocean but on Dutch Harbor. SH4 folder was deleted prior to installing .56 and no other mods. I will try to start it all over again and see if I can duplicate the results after deleting the folder and reinstalling .56.

Excellent mod, finally we get to see the awesome ships AOTDMadMax created!
Love the new camo for the merchant ships! Btw, the "Akatuki class destroyer" should be renamed "Akatsuki class destroyer". Also what is the "Corvette Kanamura class"? I didn't find info about it.. Will you add some ships of miner1436 like the "Oyodo class", "De Ruyter light cruiser" or "W-19 class"? |

Really a great job. Thanks to all the team! I continue to test the different betas.
Now downloading the last Beta 56. And...my ever and for ever problem: What is the issue with the hats of the officers in the bridge? I continue to see the polygons in the hats. A problem with the cameras.dat? The environment? I tried many (many) things, but no solution. It is the only supermod with this problem. I can live with it, but is...annoying. Now I will test the beta 56 and see if the issue persist. Many thanks and best regards! Fitzcarraldo |

It makes sense to me that this game would have these foibles given the vast range of temporal/spatial scales it has to account for.

Hmm, same here... looking into it now - thanks again. Ok the "Kanamura" is a unit name that Maddy put into the it's roster.cfg. The actual model is an "NDA_Sirtori" which is an Itailian Giuseppe Sirtori class Torpedo boat. The other name he has used is "Kuarama" which again i cannot find any reference to. I think I need cdrsubron7 skillset to find a similiar looking IJN vessel or we just rename it to an Auxilary Torperdo Boat ? What do you all think ?

I'll be late this evening before I get to 'test' things... wait - you say War Patrol??? NOT a career?... I translated some of those from another author, and I'll practically guarantee you there's at least one other error in those files, if not one hundred... There's a Molucca Sea one in there from cdrsubron7 that I know works to completion. I've only fully tested a couple of the Aleution ones. All the others were just tested for proper starting. Should have looked closer at that one... I'll let you know for certain later

If you can remember which ones you got CTDs in, I probably missed a ship call or two, and while the game wants to give you an SCSubChaser (which happens to be the most frequently used vessel), the numbers don't match what FotRSU has for SCSubChaser, and you instead get a CTD... I'll look through them all again, but see if you can remember which ones gave you trouble, and if you know how far into the scenario you were...

Yes I've seen that too Fitzcarraldo.
The second image shows a "white line" at about the 8 o:clock position (when looking down onto the hat) that I've seen before. It's not a reflection, but some sort of misplaced texture anomaly. Besides the very sparse polygons for the whole hat. I notice you're using at least a 1920x1080 resolution. The other day I found an issue with the Stopwatch not showing on the screen when you call for it at that resolution. It's barely visible on the right side of the screen. I've fixed it, and will have the corrected file in the next release....there's always something!?!

The SH3/4 rendering hates some 3D modeling.
Are the Hats infact changed from stock hats? I'd try the detach trick to correct this issue. What it looks like to me is the very top of the cap is still attached to the down slopeing parts. That is a No-No for SH3/4 as the built in smoothing goes ape poopy with that stuff. |
