I say once the server is reset on the 31st we should start a group build of some sort.

I'm thinking a city, or a castle with surrounding town.

Sure thing. Just hope we'll have functional mobs when the update rolls on. The half survival, half creative mode we have now doesn't hold my interest due to lack of challenge.

It's no fun when a creeper blows your door to bits, but I still miss the buggers.

This. I have decided to not play SMP before you can actually die in it.

Would be interesting to try and build a city while fighting off Zombies/Spiders/etc. Throw in the demon gates and it's going to be awesome.

By the way, I take it you've all heard the scuttlebutt about the actual cause behind the DDOS attack on Minecraft was not 4chan, or even a rival developer as I suspected...but fans...yes...fans...

Sadly, a problem when a game becomes so popular, you pick up the asshats who think that everything on the internet is solely tailored for them and them alone.

C'est la interwebs.

Wow... guess they missed the part where Notch mentioned being busy hiring people for the company and trying to find office so they could start pushing out more frequent updates.

Fans? More like bored script kiddies who don't have the skill to launch a proper attack.

What makes you think these people even listen to what other people say in the first place?

Is anyone else getting massive lag today? My blocks keep disappearing and reappearing.

Don't think it's on my end. Haven't really run anything too demanding today.

I just looked up Minecraft's "rival" Robolox. This game is hilarious, and not in a good way.

This video and it's comments pretty much sum's everything up:

Here's the official trailer:
