Old Man Lockwood's going to have my guts for a jump rope when we get back to Pearl. I say the helmsman did it.

I've always disliked the stock Silent Hunter 4 fire effects and land textures. Screenshots of my experiments with new textures.

The fire alpha channel comes from "Trigger Maru" - everything else is my own work.

Like your thick black smoke, I've played with it and others, but mine is always too blocky and textures stack. Sometimes SS's make it show worse than it is and screws my FPS up, like to give yours a try if u have it seperate or can do so.

awesome changes to the smoke. Any chance you plan on releasing what you've done as a mod? Asking because using the Jones mod enabler and unzipping files is the extent of my ability when it comes to computers. So there is nowayIcan do this manually . If not no worries and again really like what you've done.

Indeed, this would make for a good mod, either integrated into another mega mod like TM or a standalone version. Hopefully, you will make a version for both.

What environmental mod are you using in these screenshots? It looks promising.

My mod isn't ready yet because I need to fine-tune a few more things. I will try to release it this weekend.

The environmental effects are from the Trigger Maru mod.

Another suggestion would be to add oil slicks, or something of that nature. The immersion factor would go way up.

Default RFB 2.0 weird bug

Ok so I was on patrol 500 nm east of Honshu, when out of nowhere, I took damage in the forward torpedo room. The torpedo room instantly flooded, but there was no damage to my hull. There was no explosion, nothing. As I started to affect repairs, my submarine immediately started plunging to the bottom quickly, as if it were a plane falling from the sky. However, my sub did not crush until I got to 3,500 feet. I don't know what happened, but I think I ran into a bug of some sort. Anybody got any suggestions?
