I'll give it a go. I ran an avast scan, picked some things up. I've been in the US for three months, so my brother had my computer, and didn't seem to run many scans in that time.

ntdll.dll is part of the NT kernal. Not a trojan or virus unless it really is a .exe file. Tha this how I understand it. There is a fix for the ntdll.dll. google search ntdll.dll. I think Privateer recommended a registry cleaning and probably will take care of your issue.

Not to clutter the thread, but I've cleaned and defraged the registry with CleanMyPC Registry Cleaner and CCleaner after uninstalling everything. I'll give it a go tomorrow and hopefully I can get the old boat sailing. Should I still do something specifically to deal with the ntdll.dll problem?

It already is really too much... Now is 1944... I have successfully crept to an convoy and torpedoed 2 vessels, and then 9 hours , constantly changing depth and speed, tried to leave from destroyers, but it is vain... They equally found me. They found me even on the maximum depth! As a result later 9 hours of pursuit the submarine has discharged batteries, has been damaged and has been compelled to blow a ballast. Was the real sensitivity of destroyers really so? Whether is it possible to make so, that with increase in depth of immersing, sensitivity decreased?

Why does this needs to be corrected?

Their behaviour seems perfectly reasonable to me. They know you're there and they try to keep you down until more boats or planes arrive. What's wrong with that?

Exactly. A submarine would be easy pickings for a destroyer if it would surface. Better keep the sub down and wait.

Like I say, I am sort of a noob, yet, not really, in that I used the first GWX but have now returned after a long absence from SH3. So I have to say it really isnt clear to the outsider what I have to download for the GWX mod. Your website links to a whole bunch of different mirrors which show lots of different files. Which do I download?

Thanks guys. Really looking forward to playing this.

You'll need a fresh install of SH3 patched to 1.4b

GWX 2 exe + bin files 1-7

GWX2.1 exe

Follow the installation instructions on the GWX site
