The guy is indeed a physicist, and a comedian too. I currently read one of his books, they all are bestsellers over here, witty and humours attacks on the Zeitgeist and, in case of the book I currently read: "Lichtblick statt Blackout", the German energy ~~insan~~policy.

In German: proving that in heaven it is much hotter than in hell.
