having a bit of a problem discerning the Bullnose/Bullring thingie from the rest of the texture, the teture layout ran me through the ringer, but I can't really pick out the bullnose and change it for good

I am starting on texture 2, going tofinish that, then jump back to 1 to finish the poor girls pre-war weathering

EDIT: also, I think we would be better off doing a Scraped/repainted look, which would hold true to the many photos. it would be the greyish blackish you see in the pic of it in alaska, the deck will be darkened, and there will be that little squiggly line keltos likes to talk about. with any luck. The paint work will only go to the waterline, holding true to the fact paint doesn't work very well underwater Rust will be cut down, but, as an unavoidable fact that the ocean is very wet and salty, it will retain some blemishes

Sound good?

Default To Wake, my first Narwhal patrol

M2 against planes :

hit !

sunset :

shot down :

but kamikaze style !

damage :

Obviously if you wanna survive driving the Narwhal, staying topside when planes are coming isn't such a great idea...

The M2 is nice, lots of ammo, but boy ! are those bombs dangerous !

now both my periscopes are destroyed and I haven't even sunk a ship

I just wanted to try the M2 .50 machine guns : Peabody they work perfectly !!! don't want a .30 now

I got shot up approaching Guam after finishing the patrol in the Marshall Islands and seing noone ...

Latest version up you know where Sledge

did you see the Bullnose ??? and wooden deck ? I removed some extra plancking from the model to simplify the uv map as we decided against 3d plancking.

Decks are clean Sir !

my favorite boat ever (on the US side that is) !

Do you know how to set up the diving speed to a set depth : f.i. I-Boats took a minute, Typ VII 35 seconds.

in the .sim file, theres an extension called Ballast, which has
MANBtFloodSpeed (or something like that with a 5 digit number (like 10,000)
I set that for 17000
then under than is DiveBtFloodSpeed (4 digit number)
I set that to 5000, the dive times should be horrendously slow, which is right on the money

textures will be done by Sledgehammer427, but I couldn't show you a gray boat ingame now could I ? anyways look five (#368) posts above and you'll see that the latest texture has already changed...

and the axis along which the plancks lay is just a matter of rotating the texture on that part 90 degrees, doesn't need remapping the whole thing.

CvK.
Depending on how hard that is to get to, we may have to leave it the way it is. we'll see, If I can do it believe me I will.

Keltos, I should have those textures done within the next few hours
done or close to it, anyways

EDIT: also, Some of the faces are flipped in the new .dat you sent me. check the bow torpedo tubes
