You mention the 2014 Subsim meet, but all I get when I search the forum is Elvington (I did mean the York Air Museum). No more ideas, I'm afraid...

No sorry but I meant Elvington was the place of the Meet but not the place in question.

Clue: Much closer to home and also used as a race circuit.
